Here are just two illustrations that I have made for our "Detectives Portraits" project. Out of a list of famous fictional detectives I chose to do illustrations based on Hercule Poirot!
The drawing on the left is the first step I made on the caricature of Poirot. I was just playing with the ideas to being with, but I wanted to develop it further into a finished piece.
With this image I have taken inspiration from Steve Brodner, who does caricatures of famous people (mostly politicians). I think that Poirot has quite a round body figure, so I used this as the basis of my drawing.
I've used watercolours for this image working in the same medium as Brodner.
